Remember how Tom Brodbeck recently exposed that Premier Selinger and others were either lying or incorrect when they ran around telling everyone that CanadInns Stadium required $52.5 million in repairs?
Having actually read the consulting report, Brodbeck pointed out that the stadium only requires $14.4 million in upgrades. Here is the report he referenced - click here.
Unfortunately that little fact wasn't available when City Council voted on the stadium project in April. You see the report that went to Council (click here) clearly noted the higher number -
"CanadInns Stadium is in a serious state of deterioration and will require a minimum of $52.5 million in investment in order to keep it safe and functional over the next several years."
And people wonder why we ask for more details when it comes to such "deals"...
